Pike Place Chowder’s owner, Larry Mellum, co-founded the Sustainable Seafood Celebration (SSC) in 2018 alongside Riley Starks, founder of the Salish Center for Sustainable Fishing Methods. This nonprofit aims to raise awareness about the importance of the Salish Sea’s ecosystem, focusing on:
