Pike Place Chowder of Seattle once again proved the best comes from the west. This year's competition was the stiffest yet but the gang from Seattle successfully defended their 2015 title.  Maybe it was because they served their samples in mini bread bowls. Maybe it was because they get their ingredients right here in New England.  Maybe it was because they walked around serving samples to everyone.  Or maybe, just maybe, they're just that good!  The rest of New England has to up their game to reclaim having the best New England clam chowder next year.
